An endangered sea turtle will soon get another chance at life off the coast of Galveston after almost dying in the icy waters near Wales a couple of years ago. The turtle's epic trip back to Texas has brought together international partners, including Texas animal groups and the United Kingdom's Royal Air Force. The Kemp's ridley sea turtle, named Tally, will be released next month into the Gulf of Mexico after being rehabilitated, according to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Kemp's ridley sea turtles are the smallest and one of the most-endangered species of sea turtles.
