Houston-area cruise enjoyers, I bring glad tidings: Carnival Cruise Line is expanding its footprint in Galveston with the addition of a fourth passenger liner and new travel options out of the southeast Texas port. The Carnival Legend—a 963-foot ship weighing 88,500 gross tons—will be transferred from San Francisco to the Port of Galveston in the fall of 2025. Carnival announced the move in a Thursday press release, confirming the vessel's addition to Carnival's three-ship fleet currently homeported in Galveston.
